Instructions for

The Big Bear Theatre Project accepts script submissions only from agents, writers, and theatre artists with whom we have an existing professional relationship. We maintain a selective submission policy to ensure we can give proper consideration to all materials we review.

For Professional Representation:

Agents may submit full manuscripts to our Artistic Director year-round at info@bigbeartheatreproject.org. All agent submissions will receive a response within 90 days.

For Artists with Existing Professional Relationships:

Writers and theatre artists who have previously collaborated with The Big Bear Theatre Project may submit materials directly to info@bigbeartheatreproject.org.

We encourage writers to apply for our specific program/workshops or attend our open submission periods when announced. We are unable to accept unsolicited manuscripts outside of these designated opportunities.

2026 Open Submission Window: June 1, 2026 - August 31, 2026

For writers without representation or existing professional relationships, we host an annual open submission period. Applications will be available through our website during the designated window. For updates and submission guidelines, sign up for our mailing list HERE.

Please Note: Submission of a script does not guarantee production consideration. All materials are reviewed for potential development opportunities, workshops, or future season planning at the theatre's discretion.
